HOMESCHOOLING



         Nowadays homeschooling becomes more popular than before in society, with a growth rate of 7 to 15 percent per year. There are about two million children currently learning at home, many children who prefer to study at home with a variety of reasons and every parent have their reasons to homeschooling their children. Nevertheless, homeschooling still be pros and cons. Homeschooling can help children and parents in studying. But not all parents agreed that their children learn at home, they are still unsure of homeschool learning methods for the achievement and the development of their child.

         The advantage that homeschooling can help children is a home schooled child receives is a one on one education. The child receives extra help in the subjects he or she is having trouble in. Children who do homeschooling have the option to learn. They are free to choose what they want to learn and when they want to learn. They also have more time to study the important subject. The parent can decide and knows what is exactly what is going on to their children. With homeschooling, the negative effect from school like fighting, smoking and illicit drugs is also can be avoided.

        The argument against home schooling is the children are not getting socialization. They are isolated from the world because they are always study in home without friends. Friend is really important especially for children to make them grow and realize that they are living in social environment. There is no competition or rivalry for children, they can’t compare to where his ability than other children her age. By homeschooling, it is cost the education. Certain costs incurred for the education of home schooling is more formal education than public schools. It’s all what parents have to think that homeschooling can be negative for the achievement and the development of their children.

         In conclusion, to home school children, we should include consideration of the needs and capacities of the children. Children can succeed in all aspects of life. It is up to the parents to decide how good of an education their child will receive. Every parent have to choose the best way for their children in education.
