Jokowi as president of Indonesia
gives his contribution to develop Indonesia. He makes some decisions to develop
Indonesia and change Indonesia with “Revolusi Mental (mental revolution)”
programs. One of his decisions which becomes controversial phenomena in
Indonesia is when he erases fuel subsidy and increases fuel price from Rp.
6.500 become Rp. 8.500 per liter.
As against from his decision, some people believe when
his decision happens, poor people in Indonesia more difficult to face their
life. First, it gives influence to public transportations’ price, automatically
their price become high too, so poor people lost much of their money to pay
them. Second, this decision also gives influence to others aspects such as
motor service, primary and secondary needed stuffs, etc. which makes poor
people more difficult to enjoy their life. Last, this decision also gives
influence to poor people’s economy because this decision makes their economy
become unbalance.
In contrast, as for from his decision, some people hope
fuel subsidy budget will be moved to support Indonesia’s development. First, it
will be given to support school development, so every children in Indonesia
will get good education. Second, it will give to support health service to
every hospital, so every people will get good service in hospital. Last it will
give to build Indonesia development to make Indonesia can challenge to another
country in economy management sectors.
Last, as a resolution Jokowi gives some decision to
develop Indonesia even his decision controversial or not. As a good citizen, we
must see the positive point of our leader’s decisions even it gives bad or good
effects for us and we have to support the government to develop our country.
